The most legendary of the Gradient lineup.
The Aspen6 is our glider designed for experienced pilots, who will enjoy its flight characteristics. Solid even when accelerated, and precise in thermal conditions, this is a great wing for doing distance, but without the subtle difficulties typical of gliders of the highest level.
The Aspen6 is communicative, and we feel anything like an imminent collapse in plenty of time thanks to a sense of loss of pressure because of the VO system. The flipside is that the stability and pitch is more subtle and needs a greater level of vigilance. The recovery characteristics of this glider are relatively predictable and not radical.
The Aspen6 is appreciable for its fine handling, which is more precise and pleasant than the Aspen5. The precision in flight makes this glider even better in what concerns ‘soaring’ or flying next to the mountains. The Aspen6 is easy at takeoff, and fantastic for anyone who wishes to spend hours playing in the wind.
HIKE AND FLY
This glider has everything going for it in what concerns hike and fly, the Aspen6 Light is even more adapted and perfect for adepts of bivouac flying.
Sensitive in terms of piloting and incredibly reactive handling with short brake travel, this is a true XC machine. Solid even when accelerated, and extremely precise in thermal conditions, this is the ideal glider for pilots wishing to log long flights before moving up to higher performance wings.
Basic moves like wing overs, Sat, or even helicopters are available to Aspen6 pilots with the requisite skills, but this glider is not designed for pilots wishing to start freestyle.
This glider was not designed with acro in mind.
This is a great glider in thermal and XC conditions, thus fantastic for progression in competition allowing us to finish tasks more and more difficult with greater efficiency. The ideal progression before moving onto a wing with even higher performance.
